Restrata is the first electrospun, 100% synthetic, fully resorbable matrix engineered to be structurally similar to human extracellular matrix1 (ECM), providing clinicians with a solution throughout the continuum of soft tissue repair.

Discover the power of electrospun fiber technology

Restrata Sheet

Restrata is an engineered, fully resorbable, electrospun fiber matrix whose architecture resembles human ECM1 and supports cell ingrowth, retention, and differentiation. Representing a new approach to the treatment of acute and chronic wounds, Restrata utilizes the advantages of synthetic construction to launch a new era in healing.

Restrata for Soft Tissue Healing

Product Benefits

  • Resists enzymatic degradation, maintaining its structure to support soft tissue formation before fully resorbing via hydrolysis 1,3,6-8
  • Is fully synthetic, free of human or animal tissue, and does not require temperature monitoring or tissue tracking 12,14,26
  • Performs in hostile wound environments 1,9
  • Demonstrates minimal inflammatory response, neovascularization, and organized collagen deposition in newly formed tissue following application of Restrata 1,2,32
  • Reports an average skin graft take rate of over 95% in a compendium of clinical publications of acute surgical wound reconstruction 13
  • Supported by numerous peer-reviewed publications including Level I clinical evidence 13
  • May offer cost efficiencies in the OR by reducing product applications and wastage with 3 form factors and 19 sizes

Indicated for wound management including surgical, full-thickness, and traumatic wounds 12

Restrata for Soft Tissue Reinforcement

Product Benefits

  • Designed to mitigate wound breakdown or dehiscence, potentially reducing complications in high-risk patients and threatened closures 14,15,20,21
  • When implanted underneath a primary skin closure, offers subcutaneous mechanical support to support areas at risk of post-surgical complications 14,15
  • Tensile strength similar to human skin and maintains some strength for 7-10 days after implantation, reinforcing subcutaneous closure during the 5-10 day window where the risk of dehiscence is the greatest 2,22-24,28,31

Indicated for implantation to reinforce soft tissue where weakness exists, in patients requiring soft tissue repair and/or reinforcement in plastics or reconstructive surgery 14
