Residual Right Shoulder Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP)

Patient History

Patient is 41-year-old male with poorly controlled diabetes, hyperlipidemia (HLD), hypertension (HTN), and obesity, who presented with residual right shoulder dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP). *

Treatment

DFSP was resected and excised. Wound was debrided and washed out. Restrata Sheet was applied to wound at Week 0. Fenestrations were made in the sheet to ensure fluid could pass through with the use of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). **

Conclusion

The healing progression continued after Restrata application. Patient developed a healthy granulation base and received a split-thickness skin graft (STSG) 4 weeks post Restrata application.
