Volar Forearm Melanoma

Patient History

Patient is 55-year-old, right hand dominant, otherwise healthy female with left volar forearm melanoma (3.6 mm in depth).*

Treatment

Melanoma was resected and excised. Wound was debrided and washed out. Restrata Sheets were applied to wound at Week 0. Fenestrations were made in the sheet to ensure fluid could pass through with the use of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). **

Conclusion

Patient developed a healthy granulation base and received a split-thickness skin graft (STSG) at Week 4 after initial application of Restrata. Patient made a full recovery.
